Our mission is to make the Tyandaga community aware of the potential effect of the proposed tree deforestation and hope that we will all become contributing partners in "Protecting Burlington for Future Generations". In order to effectively and convincingly organize and convey our message we need professional help. We are therefore asking for a donation. The money will be used to fund an independent analysis (lawyer, environmental experts, noise specialists, pollution experts, etc.) to determine the real effect of the proposed Forterra quarry extension.
As important as tree planting is, it is also very important to protect of our current 'assets' - ~9,000 mature trees planned to be clear cut by Forterra in the Fall of 2017!
